Pearls enter Alicia’s wardrobe as a question of proportion rather than convention. In Tokyo, she looked beyond formal strands toward cool-white Akoya, fine necklaces, and pieces that could be rearranged instead of reserved for an occasion.

Her method is exact but playful: a larger earring against a smaller chain, a short strand layered with ordinary gold, a black dress used as quiet background. The portrait records that balance. Nothing is worn simply because it is precious; it has to become part of the person wearing it.
