Shanghai to Melbourne, and back again

People,
culture, change.

Alicia studied law at Southeast University before beginning her career in human resources with Toshiba in Shanghai. In 2008, she moved to Melbourne—a geographical and personal shift that led to a master's degree in human resource management at the University of Melbourne and a five-year chapter within Monash University's HR organisation.

During those Melbourne years, Lixia Dai began using Alicia as her public English name; it appears in her public writing by 2009. The name remained as she returned to Shanghai in 2015, first leading HR at Migu Music and later continuing her leadership path with Trip.com Group's Trip.Biz. On Chinese social platforms, she also publishes as 艾栗莎—the name attached to her visual diary.

Across industries and cities, the connecting subject has remained people: how they grow, how cultures are built, and how change can become possibility.

02 / Beyond the title

A visual world,
distinctly her own.

Work is an important part of Alicia's life, but never the entire view. Her photographs provide another record: clothes chosen with instinct, exhibitions entered with curiosity, hotel interiors and city streets remembered through colour, and the physical experience of running and walking.

Running, fashion, contemporary art, interiors, jewellery, and travel recur throughout her public archive. Shanghai is daily life; Melbourne carries the memory of years lived there. Iceland, Japan, and journeys through China hold distinct chapters of travel.

Alicia also writes about education, women's growth, and the specific choices she makes as a mother of two and a senior professional. Responsibility, pleasure, discipline, and personal style appear together in those accounts.

This website brings the public parts of Alicia's life into one place: work and family, familiar cities and recurring journeys, clothes photographed and observations written down. It is not a complete résumé, and it does not try to conclude a life in progress.
